Today would have been the 71st birthday of Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti and his legacy is stronger than ever. This month not only marks the opening of Fela! on Broadway based on the artist’s performances at the Shrine but a bunch of Fela-themed events and shows will be going down in cities like Los Angeles, Philly and Chicago until the 31st.
