This is a boho b-girl’s dream: Wale, the charismatic sneaker-obssessed DC Naija whose non-stop grind and introspective lyrics have made him hip hop’s next best thing, is featured in Honey magazine, the legendary cool chick guide which is back and taking names.

Wale gets real about his rumored love,  Solange: “Did you interview Solange about me?” Wale asks. He’s sprawled across his bed; head practically buried in the pillow. “Did she smile when you mentioned my name?”

What he’s looking for in a woman (which sounds like more reasons he likes Solange — see that last sentence):

I want a girl who you could hijack all her extra artificial cosmetics for a week and not even notice. Somebody who’s smart and can stimulate me mentally because when you on the road it’s not like you can look at ‘em or touch ‘em. I can’t stand girls who don’t challenge their intellect. It don’t hurt if she can sing a little bit.”

And much more. Check out the full HoneyMag.com interview here
