It’s a bit 2009 but still a fun throw-back. Wyclef Jean, a lively addition to the MAMAs 2009 revelry in Nairobi, has all but made a home of Africa. What with numerous trips there over the last couple years (click here for a live performance for a 50000-strong audience of Diallo at Calabar in Nigeria just over a week ago), and his past and pending collaborations with various artists on the contintent.
As he fields questions from African journalists, he practically gushes over South African Motswako MC Hip hop Pantsula, relays his matatu adventures and explains why a career in politics is not for him.

I love that you captured Wyclef before he entered into the Hell on Earth of the Haiti EarthQuake. His commitment to Africa is like a moment frozen in time and confirms his ability to use music as a tool for social change where ever he is on the planet.
