Now Listening: Olawumi’s “Alone” Bubbles With Yearning

I love how open and more seasoned Olawumi sounds in her newest release “Alone”. The 24-year-old photographer turned R&B/Soul artist is still making music that’s fresh and bouncy, and which asks you to really listen.

In “Alone” the Nigerian-American singer swoons over her lover and asks them to stay for the long-haul. The bubbly synths and thumping bass are courtesy of her fellow New Jersey native NBHD NATE, a seamless production that results in a mesmerising track. Listen below:
