I’m Faye Kabali-Kagwa. I am 24 years old. My parents are both Ugandan, but I have lived in Cape Town for as long as I can remember.
I currently work for an organisation that focuses on theatre for young audiences. I am a closet creative and live vicariously through artists by being a perpetual liker of things.
My style is me finding out how to adult but still be playful. I don’t ever want to take myself too seriously. At the moment I’ve been wearing “African prints”. When I was younger I didn’t want anything that made me stand out, especially as a non-South African. I went to former model C schools, and I didn’t want to look “African”. Now that I have grown up a little I am learning and claiming parts of me I had kept hidden. My stylistic choices are reflective of my emotional journey. Welcome to a visual snap shot of my psyche.
