While we anxiously await Tehn Diamond’s Perfect Tehn album – he’s released “Bho Tsano”. Bho is short for the Shona word iribho loosely translated, meaning it’s all good. Tsano is an appellation for brother-in-law but it’s used informally for male peers.
The Zimbabwean rapper had this to say about “Bho Tsano“:
“The intention of the record was to regain control of the conversation surrounding myself and my career. Part venting and part clearing cobwebs in my mind. In fact the purpose of the entire “a few good poems” album is to clear my mind before The Perfect Tehn. I hadn’t released music in two years, and just wanted to let my pen loose.”
According to Tehn he was searching for an appropriate beat and found it when he linked up with rapper/producer Simba Tagz. While discussing the hook and the phrase – bho tsano seemed apt for the song and thus “Bho Tsano” was made.
