It’s that time again in South Africa when the girls dress less, and debauchery is the order of the blazing summer, the heat turned up even higher as the urban dance music sector races for the most spins in the clubs, on the radio and outdoor

parties.

In their glory days, Kwaito group TKZee delivered an arsenal of hits, and effectively owned  the festive seasons of ’97 through to ’99 . A lot has happened since then:  As a solo artist, Kabelo “Bouga Love” Mabalane remains the group’s most active participant in Kwaito music, which nowadays is the domain of artists from KZN such as Big Nuz.

So the best of a golden era and the sonic kings of now make a joint effort to win the coveted title of the “song for Dezemba”.  And do they put up a

good fight? Is Impilo one to AfriPOP or drop?
