After the resounding success of Channel 4′s reality TV series The Family featured the Adesina’s, the smart thing to do would be to follow up with a full-on sitcom. Meet The Adebanjo’s would be to this generation what Desmond’s (the situation comedy about the Guyanese family and their barber business) was in the 80s/90s – light-hearted, feel-good digs at the nuances of Black urban family life in London.
Also based in Peckham, it will air in the UK, Africa and South America.
