I love this story. Model, designer and entrepreneur Priscilla Chigariro spoke to South African urban culture site Rage about putting her fashion foot forward as she launches Zimbabwe’s first ever fashion week, set for Harare in 2010, on Thursday 26 November in Johannesburg, against the odds: “This event is aimed at rekindling the fashion flair that characterised Zimbabwe before the economic meltdown, and as sure signs of economic growth and invetsment opportunities continue to flicker there could not be a better time than right now to introduce Zimbabwe Fashion Week and kickstart the vehicle of reconstruction.”
