Over the past two months, Brooklyn’s Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts (MoCADA) has addressed the complex relationship between African immigrants and their adopted European countries in the exhibition “They Won’t Budge: Africans In Europe.” The exhibit features work that reflects on the experiences of Africans abroad which are often fraught with tension and struggle. The show reaches beyond the realm of art world, foregoing works exclusively by contemporary artists and instead featuring the work of photographers and human rights activists from around the world.

On November 21st, MoCADA will also sponsor a scavenger hunt in Brooklyn’s Fort Greene neighborhood that teaches about the Diaspora’s presence in the borough. Check out MoCADA for more information about the exhibit.
