You all remember Black Boys. The song, made to celebrate Black History month back in 07 pretty much launched UK MC Bashy’s career. Media regulator Ofcom was concerned that its positive lyrics about black empowerment were too uncomfortable for people who didn’t want to have to hear this sort of thing. I think they tried to ban it or something.
Anywhoo, one of the gold coast’s favourite sons Sway Dasafo has gone and done Black Stars, which is an updated version, in time for Ghana’s 52nd independence day celebrations come 5th March.
