The bimonthly series that features New African artists that push the boundaries of African expression. This time, it will be held at New York City’s hip new multi-media arts space (Le) Poisson Rouge and will feature the internationally renowned Somali folk hip-hop MC K’NAAN, with a special guest performance by Sudanese soul artist al-Sarah.
(Le) Poisson Rouge is located at 158 Bleecker in Manhattan. The show begins at 10:00pm on Thursday, September 18th, 2008. Tickets are $20 at the door. Be sure to stick after the show to get your full groove on with Ethiopia’s finest DJ Sirak.
