Starting today the Zimbabwean government will be cutting 10 zeros off all prices and values. The $100 billion dollar note above is now worth $1. That hasn’t stopped eBay shoppers from bidding way past the real value of the now-historic billion dollar note (have you heard of a billion dollar note? let me know). Current bids on the site range from $50 to $75 US. Check them out here.

In the past months this note (Z$100 billion) would have bought you a loaf of bread. You’d need six of them (Z$600 billion) to buy a can of coke, and a box of cookies was priced at Z$485 billion. Read the story here.
